After our humble beginnings and almost 10 years in Leederville… Blush Day Spa will close our Oxford Street Store today the 27th March 2010 for good.
I can remember signing the 10 year lease on an old broken down truck at the rear of the 253, next door to the brothel! Michael thought I was mad, he dragged me down to Cafe Villa for a coffee and said “Are you sure you know what you are doin?”
I had $10,000 saved and a big dream…
We signed up and moved in and opened Blush for business on the 16th October 2000…All we had was a nail desk and a box of products. Twelve hour days and lot of blood sweat and tears, allowed us to buy a reception desk and a cash register. Over the next couple of years we added a beauty & tanning room and a hair section and expanded the nail section to 3 full time tech’s.
In January 2004, we extended into 255 and opened the Day Spa!
This was a pivital time in the success of Blush as we decided to stop doing nails…it just doesn’t fit with a day spa. With over 450 regular nail clients then, we still have many as regulars today.
We’ve had many different reactions from our much treasured clients, however almost all Blush clients are genuinely excited and understand we had no choice but to make the big move to North Fremantle to protect the future of our small family business.

Blush will be relocating to the stunning refurbished Rose Hotel in North Fremantle, and opening on the 12th April 2010.
The historic building is located at 76 Stirling Highway, North Fremantle, and although it’s not as central as Leederville (only 20 minutes away), it’s very convenient and easy to get to. With 25 customer car parks and right opposite the North Fremantle train station and bus stop at the front door. You’ll be able to get in and out with minimal fuss.
Although it’s sad to be leaving the fabulous location in Oxford Street, the new location of 855m2 gives us the chance to create a whole new Blush experience, and offer an even better service, particularly cutting down wait lists for premium times such as weekend bookings.
