If you like me and and always looking for an easy solution to getting a loved one a gift for Christmas or any occasion for that matter. A Gift Certificate, Card or Voucher is always a safe bet and a little more sincere than money in a card, don’t you agree?

But, do you ever wonder whether you’ve just wasted your hard earned cash???

Months later, well after the special occasion has been almost forgotten, do you worry the gift actually hasn’t been used or redeemed. Or even worse did it expire??? Major retailers like David Jones have a 24 month expiry date, but many smaller retailers have a 6 or 12 month expiry date…

Personally I’ve never understood the mentality of an expiry date.

Let’s face it the business has already been paid for services or products in advance. If there is any price increases, surely the company can absorb this even a year or so later.
